Apparatus

Engine 91-61 (Engine 1)

Engine 1 is a 1969 Mack CF pumper with a 1000 GPM pump and a 750 gallon water tank. It has seating for 4 with 5 pre-connects. It has been moved into a third line engine status as it has served the District and company well as the first-out engine for 27 years.

Engine 91-64 (Engine 4)

Engine 4 is a 2001 Pierce Dash with a 1500 GPM Pump and a 788 Gallon Water Tank. It has seating for 6 and 6 pre-connects including a portable master stream on the front bumper. It carries a 30 Gallon Foam Tank and a TNT combi-tool and gas pump. It is first due to all structural calls and cover assignments and has metering devices and a Thermal imaging camera. On top the truck is a 3000 watt light tower powered by a 10K generator.

Squad 91-68 (Squad 91)

The Squad is a 1996 Simon-Duplex Saulsbury with a 1500 GPM pump and a 1000 Gallon Water Tank. It has seating for 6 and 6 pre-connects. It has a full pre-connected TNT extrication system with a 10’ inch cutter, 28’ spreader and 51’ telescoping ram. Along with the tools are numerous hand extrication tools including battery-operated Sawzall and electric Sawzall. For patient care, it has a backboard, EMS kit, collars and AED (Automated External Defibrillator). For vehicle stabilizing, it has cribbing and ARS struts. The Squad goes first for all motor vehicle crashes and plane crashes and fourth for structural alarms. One of the pre-connects can flow foam and it has a 12 K Generator and a 3000 watt light tower. The Squad was the first rescue-engine in Hunterdon County in 1996.

Tanker 91-71 (Tanker 91-1)

Tanker 91-1 is a 1992 Mack Saulsbury Tanker with a 450 GPM pump and a 3000 Gallon water tank. It has a 3000 and 1500 gallon folding tank. It runs as part of the County Tanker Task Force and Strike Teams. On both sides is a mural of an actual fire the QFC fought several years ago, and is one of the most photographed vehicles in the state.

Tanker 91-72 (Tanker 91-2)

Tanker 91-2 is a 2006 Mack Granite Pierce Tanker with a 1000 GPM pump and a 3000 gallon water tank. It is powered by a 427 horsepower engine, has side dumps controlled at the cab and a manual dump in the rear. It has numerous pre-connects for rapid offloading at operations and a 35” extension ladder. A hydraulic rack holds a 3000 gallon folding tank. The Tanker runs second on all structural alarms and as special request on box alarms.

Brush 91-81 (Brush 91)

Brush 91 is a 1991 Ford/Grumman Brush truck with a 360 GPM pump and a 300 gallon water tank. It has a ¾" booster line and a 1¾" handline to be used in off-road incidents. A 9,000 pound winch on the front bumper is used to get the brush and other units out of trouble. It is first out for brush and woods incidents.

Car 91-84 (Chiefs Ride)

The Chief’s Ride is a 2003 Dodge Durango used as an incident command unit. It has multiple high, ultra high, and low-band radios used for communications as well as an air-pack, extinguishers and forcible entry tools.

Traffic 91-85 (Traffic 91)

Traffic 91 is used at various incidents including motor vehicle accidents, hazardous material incidents, and structure fires. The vehicle carries safety vests and traffic control equipment.

Car 91-86 (Deputy Chief’s Ride)

The Deputy Chief’s Ride is a 1999 Ford Expedition used as an incident command unit. It has multiple high, ultra high and low-band radios used for communications as well as an air-pack, extinguishers and forcible entry tools. The rear of the car has a full command desk for use on large incidents.

Rescue 91-89 (Rescue 91)

Rescue 91 is a 2007 Pierce Dash Rescue with seating for 6. It has a four pre-connected TNT Rescue extrication tools with 100' hoses. Two pre-connected tools are located in the front bumper. Air bags, rescue struts, and a battery operated Holmatro tool are also located on the rescue. The Rescue has an assortment of cordless sawzalls, electric sawzalls, petrogen cutting torch, cribbing, hand tools, fans, ropes, two K12 saws, 2 roof saws, and various hazardous material equipment. A 6 bottle cascade system with sierra booster refills the firefighter's bottles while on scene. It has a 35 KW generator that power the light tower, scene lights, and cord reels. For patient care, the rescue carries stokes basket, 3 backboards, a burn kit, pediatric kit, patient care equipment, AED (automatic external defibrillator), and a suction unit. The rescue is first out for motor vehicle accidents & plane crashes. 2nd out for structural type alarms in hydrant areas and 3rd out for structural type alarms (non-hydrant areas).
